5 Breathtaking National Parks That Redefine Natural Beauty
Out there are some absoloteley beautiful and incredible national parks witch are worth exploring.
In this article I will show you my personal top 5 National Parks to explore and go hiking, all these parks are my favorites and there are a lot more beautiful National parks to explore out there in the US and the world, but these are the five parks I like the most.
1. Zion National Park
The first hiking place witch I want to tell you about is the Zion National Park, located in Utah and 230 square miles big. If you like canyons you’ll love this national park because it has numerous deep narrow canyons with small rivers and stunning red rock landscape to explore. It provides a lot of interesting hiking adventures like the green emerald pools; these are very small lakes with a green water color. Another spectacular attraction is an almost 90-degree red rock wall, it’s called Angel’s Landing. If you like wet feet, you can even hike on the narrow rivers between two vertical sandstone walls, but most of them are just normal canyons with no water.
The height of the canyons in the Zion National Park measures from 40 to 100 feet (12 to 30 m). Zion Canyon's narrowest sections are just 20 to 30 feet (6m to 9m) across, and it's 2,640 feet (800m) at its deepest point. This interesting red landscape is definitely one of my favorites on this list and is worth being explored.
2. Yosemite National Park
The Yosemite National Park, located in California, is an almost 1200 square miles big paradise for hikers and nature lovers like me. It is known for its big granite monoliths and amazing waterfalls like the Vernal Fall, Sentinel fall, including the iconic Yosemite Falls, which are one of the tallest in North America falling 2420 feet (739m).
Yosemite National Park offers explorers and hikers a huge wilderness area with spectacular mountains like the Half Dome which is a huge granite monolith, lots of trails and a variety of wild and very dangerous animals like bobcats, coyotes, elk and two types of bears, but if you stay on the trails with the others, you should be save.
3. Yellostone National park
I had to put this National Park on the list because this is a huge and the most well-known Park in the world and that’s for a reason. Yellowstone National Park, is located in Wyoming, but the park spreads into parts of Montana and Idaho too. It was established on March 1, 1872, making it the first national park in the United States and widely considered the first national park in the world, but that’s not the only reason. Yellowstone is a huge, nearly 3,500-sq.-mile wilderness recreation area atop a volcanic hot spot. Mostly in Wyoming, the park spreads into parts of Montana and Idaho too. Yellowstone features dramatic canyons, alpine rivers, lush forests, hot springs and gushing geysers, including its most famous, Old Faithful. It's home to hundreds of animal species, including grizzly bears, wolves, bison, elk and antelope. Yellowstone even provides a huge lake with crystal clear water.
4. Saguaro National Park
This National Park, located in Arizona, is named after its cacti. It is the biggest cactus species in the USA, measuring up to 60 feet (18 meters) and living more than 150 years. The Park is divided in two sections:
(west) The Tucson Mountain District is the smaller of the two districts, it covers an area of approximately 24,498 acres (9,916 hectares) and offers a variety of desert landscapes and recreational opportunities. The district is characterized by rugged mountains, rolling hills, and numerous saguaro cacti dotting the landscape.
The other district is The Rincon Mountain District, it covers a vast area of approximately 67,319 acres (27,227 hectares) and is known for its diverse desert ecosystems and extensive network of trails. This district encompasses the Rincon Mountains, which rise to an elevation of over 8,000 feet (2,400 meters) and provide a stunning backdrop to the desert landscape. The Rincon Mountain District offers numerous hiking opportunities, ranging from short nature walks to challenging summit hikes Wildlife such as mule deer, javelinas, coyotes, and a wide variety of bird species can be found in this district.
5. Glacier National Park
The park is named after its numerous glaciers, but recent studies have shown that they melt and get smaller because of climate changes. Glacier National Park is located in the U.S. state of Montana, along the Canada–United States border. The Glacier National Park is renowned for its stunning mountain landscapes, pristine alpine lakes, and more than 700 miles (1,127 kilometers) of hiking trails. More than 70 species of mammals, including grizzly bears, black bears, mountain goats, bighorn sheep, wolves, and moose call this place home, over 1000 species of plants, including wildflowers, lichens, and various coniferous and deciduous trees such as spruce, fir, aspen, and cottonwood grow in the Glacier National Park.
Thanks for reading this Newsletter, but keep in mind (as earlier sad) there are lots of cool other National Parks and these are just my favorites. If you think someone else would like or be interested in this this article, you can share it and it would really support me, thanks again.
